How do i stop IE from opening when i first turn on my computer. (i have dialup)?

Start%26gt;Programs%26gt;Start Menu, delete the shortcut for IE in there. If your computer is trying to dial a connection without you, Go to the Internet Options%26gt;Connections Tab%26gt; and select "Never Dial a Connection".

Note: I don't like to tell people to delete anything accept for a shortcut. A shortcut will be an icon with a small white square in the bottom left corner with a black arrow on it. In the programs group there are none of these symbols. If you try to delete something and it is a shortcut, it will ask if you want to delete this shortcut. If its a program, it will ask if you want to delete this, its a program. You should answer no in this case.

Check to see if it's in your start menu. You should have a "startup" option in programs. Once you locate it, if IE is there, you should be able to right click on it and delete it from your startup group. Hope that helps!

Do you have anything that is wanting to connect to the internet that involves IE to open?

try letting IE go to whatever website its wanting to go to and see where its heading.

If it goes to any other website other then your home page... try downloading AVG anti spyware. Free version.

go to your home page and type in AVG free version.
