Doesn't the "world"- ie: secular culture realize that the Churches of Christ do their

The "Church" established by the Lord is autonomous, and even sueing each other is forbidden, and they must come before the congregation when they can't get anywhere with the accused?

* The "world" has nothing to do with it. The churches are to take care of the problems themselves.

These statements do not accurately reflect the scriptures, and churches of christ go by the scriptures.

The scriptures give an example of how Christians ought to work out differences between themselves. We are to go directly to the person who offends us, and discuss the matter with them. If we get nowhere, we then can take an independent Christian along as a witness to arbitrate. If we still don't get anywhere, we can bring the matter to the church Elders.

But, keep in mind that this for for instances where both parties are supposed to be Christians. If both were truly behaving so, most of these differences would be misunderstandings, not the result of evil perpetrated against one another. While it could be true that a Christian has fallen into sin, most such difficulties are the result of minor differences of opinion, or an inadvertant hurt to someone.

True Christians would listen and understand that an error happend, and work together to resolve it.

I do not see where courts are forbidden. Discouraged, perhaps, but not forbidden.

We are IN the world but not OF the world.

This means that we do not have to stoop as low as people who do not know any better, because we are expected to rise above our animal instincts and petty selfishness.

sounds like a cult
Who takes care of "it when someone from the church does "something" to someone of the "world". What about the opposite?

What if no one does anything?
I'm all for individual mediation. If two parties (regardless of religion) can get together and work something out without bringing the courts and judge in, that's even better.

I don't believe however that a church can FORCE its members to exhaust ecclesiastical justice prior to constitutional justice. If a member of your church wants to have their dispute settled in court rather than in your church that that is their right as a citizen. If you or anyone in your church of stature try to inhibit that, then your church should be stripped of its non-profit status and be forced to pay taxes.
I attend a Church of Christ (but not united CoC). I have no idea what you're talking about.
